“There’s an urgent appeal for volunteers to help raise puppies that will go on to work as hearing dogs for deaf people. Families look after them for around a year before they begin their hearing dog training, and there’s a shortage of people in Cheshire and Greater Manchester to help bring up puppies. Without those volunteers it would mean deaf people are left without dogs that so many rely on.”
